About Rev. Toby
Toby Iweka, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher gave his life to Jesus in 1990. Soon after he got saved, the Lord said to him,
“Arise and Shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you’, I will send you to the ends of the earth. ‘Descend upon men and I will descend upon you.”
In 1991 during fasting and praying, Toby had a vision and saw a massive torch that filled the sky and as he kept on looking, the torch shrunk and fell into his hands. After the vision he was propelled into the evangelistic ministry. In 1991 Toby started preaching from house to house and reaching families for Christ.
In 1994 he attended the International Bible Institute of London and whilst in Bible College, founded Joy of Salvation Evangelism Association (JOSEA).
After his graduation, he held a crusade on November 10, 1994, 48 people were in attendance; two people gave their lives to Jesus in the meeting, including a Pastor who went on to build a Church in West Africa.
From 1994 – 1997, Toby held seven evangelistic crusades in different parts of London, namely; Queens Park, Stratford, Stanmore, Wimbledon, Ladbroke Grove, Neasden and Shepherds Bush working with local Churches, praying for the sick and winning souls.
In 1995, Toby took the gospel to the London underground tube network and advertised the gospel on all the carriages of the London Jubilee line network billed for one month but miraculously lasted for 3 months.
In 1997 he was invited to a North London Church where his training ministry was born and began to evolve. From 1997 till date Toby has trained thousands of Christians in various Churches and released them into their communities to win souls for Christ. Rev Toby is the Overseer of his home church Joy of Salvation Miracle Centre based at Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria.
His enormous passion for God and love for souls underpins all his ministerial work and relentlessly drives him forward to fulfill God’s calling on his life. His over-riding vision is to reach every single nation in the earth with the gospel and to build God an army of Evangelists that will reach homes for Christ.
